Too bad the 'Z26' was dropped, oh well..it all brought about the Commando.Hairy Larryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07561143328956868685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3179571938485917453.post-70402990903040171202013-01-21T10:17:13.559-08:002013-01-21T10:17:13.559-08:00The bike may have been called the P10 (project 10)...The bike may have been called the P10 (project 10), but was called the P800 on the museum's information board. fj_stuarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04920330776560562445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3179571938485917453.post-52402927225394057182013-01-21T10:13:19.092-08:002013-01-21T10:13:19.092-08:00I've added a link to an article on the bike.I've added a link to an article on the bike. fj_stuarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04920330776560562445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3179571938485917453.post-39359170450979756102013-01-21T10:02:21.794-08:002013-01-21T10:02:21.794-08:00The tubes for the cam chain look a bit skinny to g...The tubes for the cam chain look a bit skinny to give a clearance. Especially at the rear where there would need to be space for a tensioner to move the chain.

On my FJ & CBF there are long blades at the rear to tension the chain & a guard on the top to prevent chain lash hitting the engine cover. It's hard to see how the Norton works.fj_stuarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04920330776560562445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3179571938485917453.post-17559717156391190462013-01-21T09:52:25.139-08:002013-01-21T09:52:25.139-08:00The bike was in an area connecting two halls overl...The bike was in an area connecting two halls overlooking the fountain in the middle of the museum building. Too bad the 'Newest' Norton company didn't look to the past for their future. The Kenny Dreer derived Commando is ok, but a clean slate design of a DOHC twin would have made more sense...at least to me. Someday I hope to get to visit the museum there.Hairy Larryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07561143328956868685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3179571938485917453.post-42648308050367473532013-01-21T07:37:26.073-08:002013-01-21T07:37:26.073-08:00Stuart, which hall was this one in?
