SV Screen

My recently acquired Suzuki SV650 is a "naked" bike ie it doesn't have a fairing. I'm fine with this. I intend use the bike mainly for riding the back roads so this isn't an issue. But I do sometimes have to use faster roads to get to where I want to be. The SV is capable of cruising at high speed so I though a small screen would make things more comfortable.

I have one on my CBF250 so I fitted for a trial. It doesn’t do much but it does a little so I decided to get one for the SV. I went for a Puig Mini Sports Screen in dark smoke tint. This is universal fitting that attached to the headlamp bolts. On the SV I had to remove the small instrument cover to fit the screen. 

I got the screen from M&P http://www.mandp.co.uk/. I ordered it at 11:45pm on Monday and it arrived today (Wed) at 10:30am - very good service. 

I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside

Last Wednesday I had a pleasant run to the coast of Ayrshire & Galloway in Southwest Scotland.

Ailsa Craig is landmark that can be seen from everywhere on the Ayrshire coast. It’s an island formed from a volcanic plug. Granite quarried there was used to make curling stones.

Ballroom Blitz

On TV I saw a trailer for the forthcoming superhero movie "Suicide Squad". It featured the song "The Ballroom Blitz" by British glam rock band The Sweet. I recalled that the song was inspired by an incident in 1973 when the band played the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock and were chased off stage by a barrage of bottles. Hence the lyric "And the man at the back said everyone attack and it turned into a ballroom blitz"
