  1. Ahhh, time to play the if-I-had-to-choose-a-favorite game: I love that... Scoll, is it? It has such a strange-looking engine.

And that blasted all-in-one gauge: How awesomely incomprehensible is that?!... :D

    1. It's a Scott, a Flying Squirrel, I think. The engine is a 600cc water cooled two stroke twin. They survived into the 1970's as the Silk 700s.

Yes, the "Rudge Revulator" is a bit of fun. It's not really a gauge. The needle doesn't move by itself. You turn it to calculate the revs at a given speed and gear. Not something you should do while riding!

I'm glad you like the photos. I was at another vehicle show today and I'll post more photos of interesting bikes soon.

  2. Some lovely examples and a nice day too by the looks of it!! Brough looked amazing! Wonder if any of them arrived under their own steam?!

    1. The bikes were photographed after a 100 mile run. So yes, they all do go. Look at the BSA in photo No. 7 it has the route instructions on a scroll type thing.

  3. Actually, from the luggage and helmets it looked like quite a lot did, including the Brough, excellent :-)

    1. As my friend Malcolm said about the Brough "that’s worth more than my house!"

  4. Some gorgeous old machines in those pics. They don't make them quite like they used to. The older bikes just had some style, more soul.

    1. I'd worry about the effort & cash needed to keep an 80 or 90 year old bike going. Getting spares has to be tough. But they do look (and sound) great.
