The Stones of Time

On a run to Dumfries & Galloway in southwest Scotland I stopped at the standing stones at Torhouse near Wigtown. It is easy to get to being located next to the road in the corner of a field. It consists of 19 stones in a circle with three in centre. It dates to the Bronze or Neolithic Age and was likely used for religious ceremonies.

A crowd started to gather....

  1. Very cool. Looks like you made the cows very curious. Were you wearing leather? LOL

    Thanks for sharing.

    1. It was funny. The cattle initially stampeded away when I arrived then wandered back to have a look at me.
