Run to Fife

The west is enduring constant drizzle but the weatherman promised that the east was bright & dry with very mild temperatures so I headed to the East Neuk of Fife.

200 miles in Scotland in February without getting soaked and/or frozen is pretty good going.

  1. Did you not fancy trying the Elie Chain Walk? It's a coastal path that takes you across cliffs where you hold onto a chain and put your feet on a very narrow ledge. If you do it when the tide is in, the sea is crashing against the cliffs just below you. I did it years ago before the chains were replaced, so they were very rusty and pulling away from the cliff at parts! There's some pictures here: http://www.tinnedtomatoes.com/2009/07/elie-chain-walk.html

  2. Looks like a nice day out. A few more Landmarks there too. I didn't know about the chain walk. Might have to give it a go later on in the year.
