The Stones of Time


On a run to Dumfries & Galloway in southwest Scotland I stopped at the standing stones at Torhouse near Wigtown. It is easy to get to being located next to the road in the corner of a field. It consists of 19 stones in a circle with three in centre. It dates to the Bronze or Neolithic Age and was likely used for religious ceremonies. 








A crowd started to gather....

    1. It was funny. The cattle initially stampeded away when I arrived then wandered back to have a look at me.
