My recently acquired Suzuki SV650 is a "naked"
bike ie it doesn't have a fairing. I'm fine with this. I intend use the bike
mainly for riding the back roads so this isn't an issue. But I do sometimes
have to use faster roads to get to where I want to be. The SV is capable of cruising at
high speed so I though a small screen would make things more comfortable.
I have one on my CBF250 so I fitted for a trial. It doesn’t
do much but it does a little so I decided to get one for the SV. I went for a
Puig Mini Sports Screen in dark smoke tint. This is universal fitting that
attached to the headlamp bolts. On the SV I had to remove the small instrument
cover to fit the screen.
I got the screen from M&P http://www.mandp.co.uk/. I
ordered it at 11:45pm on Monday and it arrived today (Wed) at 10:30am - very good service.
I'll be interested to see how the windscreen does. I've had the Gladius for 5 years now and I've never attempted a windscreen for it.
ReplyDeleteI've got a flyscreen on my Honda CBF250 and I rode about with it on the SV for a couple of weeks as a trial. It takes some wind off your body. The effect isn't huge but I think it's worth fitting. I can use a universal fit screen on the SV because it has a conventional headlamp. I think you'd need a dedicated screen to fit your Gladius.
