I Feel S(Love)nia


On our recent visit to Vienna we found an advertising display in a square for tourism in Slovenia (the country between Austria and the Adriatic Sea) One poster was aimed at motorcyclists.

Am Hof square - nice eh?


Text is (I think),

"Vršič Pass - the highest pass in Slovenia (1611 metres) is a challenge for motorcyclists and a good starting point for demanding mountain tours"

      It's a country of which I known nothing - but it does look nice. Check out the capital, Ljubljana, on Google Street View. No budget flights there from Scotland, unfortunately.

      One of my workmates went to Slovenia earlier this year, on a skiing trip to Kranjska Gora. He flew to an airport in Austria, then got a coach. Said it was really nice: http://www.kranjska-gora.si/en/upper-sava-valley/502

    Isn't the Vršič Pass wonderful? We conquered the pass on our Vespas two years ago. It was a bit challenging on the (wet) cobble stones but the vistas were well worth the effort.
