Scottish Motorcycle Show

The Scottish Motorcycle show was held this weekend at the Ingliston Showground near Edinburgh. I hadn't been for a few years and with decent weather it was a very enjoyable day

Many folk came on their bikes

Malcolm tries a Honda CB650F

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 400cc adventure bike

The KTM Duke 390 looks like fun.

I wasn't really that interested by the new bikes on show, I spent my time in the classics hall. I'll start with the dirt bikes.

A pair of Triumph twin scramblers

A Rickman BSA Victor

A CZ Trail (175cc?)

Yamaha IT175

Ok this isn't a dirt bike, but it's a dirty bike. It looks like an unrestored oldie, but….Magna De Bon, Paris? There was a manufacturer Magnat-Debon based in Grenoble….

….and that engine isn't right. An overhead cam? I think it started life somewhere else. Any guesses?

More show stuff on the way

  1. I'd happily find room in my stable for the Rickman, the CZ Trail, or that little, blue Yammy. Mmm-hmm...

  3. Some nice bikes in this post. Thanks for posting some pics on the show. I'd been seeing it advertised on social media and was hoping you'd attend and post some pics.

    1. There were a lot of interesting bikes at the show. It must be a sign of getting old that I wasn't that interested in the new models displayed by the manufacturers and preferred the oldies on the club stands.

      Much more on the way!
